A dear friend once asked what it meant when I said "I'm proud of you."
So I thought about it, and wrote out a dozen things I meant by those words.
If one of them reminds you of someone in your life, I'm sure they'd be blessed to hear it (or something like it) from you!

I see the effort you put in, in life, and I respect you for it.
I look up to you.
I'm honoured to be known as your friend.
I enjoy speaking highly of you.
I see your hardships, and I celebrate when you overcome.
I count it an honour to walk beside you.
I believe the things you're doing are worthwhile.
I see strength being forged out of your weakness, and I rejoice.
I cheer for you.
I wish there were more people like you in the world.
Your example inspires me.
I'm grateful the Lord counted me worthy to be your friend.
