The common argument for journalists, politicians, advocates and activists to retain some presence on X is no longer that "we must be there to reach the most people" (X is clearly fragmenting). Now it's "we must be there to persuade people on the right".
This is false. To attempt to reach people on a network whose sole purpose is to weaponize disinformation for political persuasion towards far-right authoritarianism, is to fight a perpetually losing battle. It's the battle Musk bought it for.
