Random odd hardware issue that I've grown used to but I have no idea why it happens: when I bring my laptop to my office, I have a microphone/headphones that I plug in via USB (usb goes to mic, then there's a jack in the mic for headphones). I plug in and... the mic/headphones NEVER connect.
