Vague innuendo does not add anything to the conversation. Your post is saying:

They have problems, but I’m not going to tell you what they are. I have a strong personal dislike of them, but I won’t tell you why.

There was another claim elsewhere about them ‘taking jobs’, but (as I already pointed out) the smaller shop that has them near me employs as many checkout attendants as the larger shop that doesn’t, so that doesn’t seem to be supported by evidence.

There was a claim about them reducing human interaction, but the interaction with checkout staff in the kind of shops that have them has never enriched my life (this is different in smaller specialised shops where the people at the till often know and care about the products and are helpful and point me to things I didn’t know about).

The only real negative thing I’ve read is one case where someone was accused of shoplifting because the till scanned something as something else and charged them the wrong (lower) amount, which wouldn’t happen if you slightly pay attention (and offsets the much more common case that a till operated by someone else puts something through as a more expensive item and you have to pay attention to a screen that’s hard to see or carefully check your receipt to spot it).
