All these could lead to a counter-escalation from the Russian side. My gut feeling is that a sizable chunk of Russian population and most of the military people would support a more direct confrontation against Ukraine's Western sponsors to teach'em a lesson.
I guess it's the Kremlin the one that is keeping its feet cold and its generals restrained, but for how long?
