Lisp and even emacs is terribly simple. I am overstating that but in theory and the reason why people like it is because these are very simple. The problem is that ive got a very engineer-ry mindset and i dont give a shit if something is internally "beautiful". Scheme Lisp is tedious to write and in all honesty its only validated by Emacs. I have obnoxiously very little respect for a language that literally cannot sanely be written without a specific editor. Its a cargo cult, there are plenty of cargo cults out there: lisp and all that is just one of them.
