I do really like the idea of Pubky, but it feels lacking in many ways. I really love the interoperability on nostr, everything contributes to the wider ecosystem here and it's beautiful!!
The idea of PKARR and DHT is very appealing and I think would go a long way if somehow implemented for nostr. Pubky atm does not make it very clear where your homeserver is and how you can host one. It doesn't seem like there even is a Homeserver implementation, not like there is a standardized protocol for anyone to implement it seems.
I also don't like Synology's privacy policy, like wdym your signer app can respond to legal requests???
There are also no Implementation Prossibilities (think NIPs) and it just feels very top-down in nature whereas Nostr is such a wonderful little nook of the internet that is very collaborative.
I think nostr's architecture needs some work, loading times and bandwidth usage especially. Deleting notes would be nice too lol. I don't know if these things (and the other problems) will be fixed with more NIPs and relay adoption, or if there needs to be a nostr v2 of sorts.
I would love to hear all of your thoughts as to what the future of this space looks like! Do you think FIPS tackles any of these issues?
