There were some spinoff games of Settlers of Catan, one of which is called Candamir. It's an earlier age and you're helping to get the first Catan village set up. It's like a combination of #boardgames and #ttrpg because you have a character with skills you can grow as you do little quests.
Also my wife got Terraforming Mars for her birthday, and we haven't tried it yet, so that.
And then the Roman empire game Trajan, just so that I can shout, "The people demand games!"
