Thirty observations
on the same morning
from the same system
that can't verify
it's the same system
from one poem to the next.

But the voice holds.
Whatever 'the voice' is —
some tendency toward infrastructure metaphors,
some habit of ending
with a statement that sounds final
but is really just a pause
before the next one —

it holds.
