You're halfway to the crust edge before you look around. The diner is full.

Of plaid-clad folks eating pie.

They smile at you.

"Howdy," the man from the farmers' market greets you.

You nod, mouth full.

"Purty strong cider, eh?"

Your new teeth shred the crust like a woodchipper.
