Am I losing my mind or is the website and code for littlefedi very much LLM-generated?

The website says it's made by hand, but the copyright holder says they didn't write the code, a group of people called the 'little computer people' did, and then trasferred copyright to him. This group is anonymous and extremely productive, but don't use version control, and there is no change log at all. The 'little computer people' are completely anonymous, and don't seem to use the littlefedi instance at all. The website copy and code comments look very much AI-extruded.
Yet there's loads of people who don't seem to recoil at this and are taking it at face value, despite having very anti-LLM profiles? The copyright holder is also reposting anti-LLM stuff while totally ignoring people pointing out the very vibey nature of his website.
I guess it's at least expected that there will be LLM-generated fedi server software, but I'm finding what seems like _very_ weird gaslighting around littlefedi really disturbing. It makes it really hard to trust reality around this project, and to some extent the fedi in general, at all. Is that the aim?
I really don't understand the motivation for this and it's freaking me out a bit.
