istigatha/tawassul is not shirk. that's a very modern bidah popularized by the wahabis. traditional sunni islam in all for schools of fiqh permitted it:

and cursing of the sahaba with a bidah stsrted by muawiyah and it was state sactioned by the ummayids for over 50 years. most shia schollars today have fatwa against the practice of cursing the sahaba but questioning the righteousness of their actions is something they do (and this is the issue i agree with them on over the asharis who hold this as a point of aqeeda).
most of the acusations against the shia do not hold when put to the light of history. sunnis don't like to acknowledge this and bro Ibrahim even provides examples in the vid above of how most summary editions and translations of sahih hadith books remove many of these hadith to "sanatize" the historical record. it is largely political sectarianism rather than doctrinal disagreements.
