In good news, a record 33 fluffy albatross chicks have fledged and left Taiaroa Head on Dunedin Harbour for a ten year adventure at sea. I wonder if their wings get tired?
Thanks to each bird having a fitted GPS, DOC can track them worldwide. The first fledglings are already 9,000km away off the coast of Chile. Go, big birds!
