Spoke replaced, bearings in the hub replaced, rim trued up, and now I'm back up and running. Rode it home tonight without incident.

Bent a rim yesterday. It was bad enough that I had to immediately disconnect the rear brake to continue onward.

Took it to the bike repair project and got a used rim, but didn't have time to fix the broken spoke or replace the bearings.

Will do that on my next trip.
