When the time for justice arrives please remember that there is no contradiction:
Netanyahu was and is always attempting to cement his hold on power by prolonging the genocide. He is a corrupt despot. Simultaneously, Israelis were never "in the dark" about the genocide.

Netanyahu is the quintessential Israeli. He is not mad. He knew and we knew, albeit from different perspectives. The fact that even now there are no Israelis (except a heroic few) refusing to "serve" in Gaza, the fact that Israelis protest against Netanyahu demanding "a deal" and not an end to the genocide, these facts point to a third fact - Israelis support the genocide as policy and thus support Netanyahu when and where he needs it most.
