The only reason I tried to embark on the task of writing a BASIC interpreter for the Arduino platform is to keep costs down.
I do not actually have a good grasp of the price of an Arduino Uno or Arduino Mega now.
An alternative is a retro 8 bit construction. There are plenty of 8080 and 6502 Tiny BASICs out there, the problem would be the reverse of an Arduino construction -- making this actual physical computer.
