update: while they kinda looked that way at first, after being cut, pan-fried and then baked on a pizza, the texture was pretty neutral (not "fuzzy" or anything) and just tasted like a smol bit of french fry or something like that

not bad, but kinda disappointing that it wasn't more exciting
