So... anybody know much about vinyl cutters? Kinda tempted to get one but I don't want to be in a world of proprietary shit (looking at you Silhouette/Cricut etc). Is it worth buying an ancient (Roland CX/GX series) one on eBay for £50 and a just using USB-Serial and firing HPGL at it? Or are there better options?
