Irises. Deer don’t eat them. I don’t fertilize or even water them, bulbs were planted years ago, and they pop up in spring and flower beautifully, repeating every year. Yesterday I watched a hummingbird go flower to flower for the nectar, what great entertainment. I love low maintenance plants like this that are perennials, I don’t have to do anything except enjoy them.
