this is also what i' ve been afraid of with chat control, besides the fact that it's unclear what would warrant such an intrusion in civil rights
it is "to protect the children" but there are no statistics on just how many children would be saved by the law, no intent to measure, no plans to repeal it when it doesn't actually accomplish what it intends
just emotional manipulation, "we need to do something"ism, and once it's in they forget about it and move on to the next overbearing law
