That's an okay response, y'know, for a start of a dialog.

Two things: First, although I was addressing myself to the pediverse vs. MAPWorld as a whole (addressing MAPWorld as a whole may never be possible although, I expect that "reach" will increase over time) even within the pedi, the vast majority of its "citizens" or denizens are more broad in their views than I am. I'm pretty much only a MAP. I'm not a zoo, I'm not a necro, I'm not interested in insects, I'm not into poop, I'm not a furry, I'm not even gay or bi which, atp, would be totally pedestrian to be. I'm a minority within a minority! Lol. :)

In any case, you don't have to worry, the vast majority of pedi people who read my initial post were able to easily translate what I said to paras or "sexual deviants" in general.

Second, in my initial post, I literally said that, like the LGBTQ movement, we will never have the numbers. We will have to inflate our numbers with allies. I said that very thing.

For what it's worth, though, although I don't think MAPness can be someone's identity in whole, I DO think that our world is doing its level best to reduce and essentialize MAPs to their MAPness alone. Everything else that might be interesting about a person or value about their conduct or politics or whatever is irrelevant. All that matters is their attraction to children and that is damning.

MAPness as identity is more THEIR idea than it is ours.
