Only now realising that I’ve been feeling so discouraged over the past year or so because I’ve a number of friends who both read my book on “AI” risks, agreed with its assessment, but have since then gone on to become either “AI” enthusiasts or to profit from the bubble in some way

That this number isn’t zero makes me feel like there's no point to writing. People are fixed in their beliefs and will do whatever the fuck they want. What they read is just mental window dressing 🤷🏻‍♂️
