s!!I immediately started playing it after finishing what's done of the Elibean Nights hack. The hack made much of the dialogue in SoS make more sense and gave a visual memory to recall for key character backgrounds.
The game itself gave me some frustration in certain chapters with some characters dying, but it was, overall, surprisingly easy. Perhaps it's that I'm older or perhaps it's that the game was, indeed, designed to be easier for newcomers like its prequel successor. Speaking of which, the character and plot depth is a bit shallower here than it is in Rekka no Ken. Iirc, Fuuin no Tsurigi started life as a remake of Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi, and it shows. The pattern of recruitable characters and some regions and environments show a slight resemblance to their Akkaneian analogues. The devs took advantage of the new Elibe continent. This was, essentially, a playground for them to make a more compelling scenario in Rekka no Ken. Also, I ship Lilina and Roy whenever I play through this one. It makes the most sense, canonically.
Overall, 6/10. A bit on the shallow/bland side for a Fire Emblem game--like the Marth games but, thanks to its prequel successor, a bit more fleshed out.
