From my limited understanding, Japan is a low risk culture where if something works people leave it alone. There are also many older people so decision makers tend to stick to what they have if it works. Work culture contributes to that - you need approvals for approvals 😆 and things don’t move fast. Also, loyalty. If you have some vendor do something for you there’s less chance you’re going to use another.

But I’m mostly talking out of my ass 😂
