Not worshipping anything, just spitting out facts, I modified Android devices for the better part of a decade.

I either flashed new ROM’s because the stock ROM sucked.
Kernels, because the stock one was inefficient.
Magisk, because that was the only way you could modify certain things.
Substratum, because none of the stock apps or the ROM UI shared a cohesive theme.

That’s just software, don’t even get me started on the hardware because Android OEM’s don’t even come close.

As far as “spyware”, I find that hysterical as well because iOS offers you several ways to obfuscate your data, unlike Google, who gets paid to share your analytics..
