i understand. but you're replacing "do something in memory" with "constantly check a trusted oracle or cache and maybe not be wrong". nostr clients aren't going to validate any blockchain, so they'll have to trust someone, all the time. hopefully this frames it in an obvious way?

it's not clear that nostr values a solution to the problem, and one involving external trust is almost certainly a nonstarter
