Not so much pop, but regarding older music styles.
We regularly go to a tapas bar in Sheffield, it has a big dance club downstairs. It's very close to the University residences.
On a Wednesday evening, they have a free Lindy hop/swing dance class, and live music. A live band, and a free dance club, and it's routinely rammed with very enthusiastic young people, enjoying the music and the social scene.
This week it was Sheffield University Big Band, who took up most of the dance floor, but they were great, and again a young audience.
