I mean, there's always going to be people running around willing to pay way too much for things, but for stuff like games consoles you need a critical mass of users in order to attract and/or justify the exclusives needed to justify your console's existence. There's a reason the 90's console wars were between Nintendo and Sega, despite the Neo Geo being on store shelves and objectively superior to those consoles in almost every way.
