Yeah, but you need to lock some liquidity into the channels, right? I have the technical ability to set it up, just not seeing the benefit overweighting the time invested in the setup+upkeep. There were notes from OPs that said that running node is not (nor should be) thing that anybody does. I mean, for community/friend network/onboarded family I can see the appeal, but for semianonymous account that zaps max the equivalent of $5 a month? If I plan to grow in this field, I would be in, but I am stretched thin with all my plans already (although that could be depression talking).
