i’ve been noticing more businesses accepting bch as payment lately. usual case is retail, small merchants, the occasional local shop. and it got me thinking about my own work.
i’m a va and social media manager. my clients are usually international, service-based, paying through the usual platforms with the usual fees and the usual waiting periods. nothing wrong with that, it’s just… normal. it’s what i’ve always known.
but seeing this shift made me wonder — what if that wasn’t the only option? what if a client could just pay in bch, instant, no middleman taking a cut, no waiting days for a transfer to clear?
i don’t have this figured out yet. still learning how this all works in practice, what it would actually look like to offer this as a freelancer, what clients would even be open to it. but the more merchants i see adopting it, the less like a “crypto thing” this feels and the more like a “where payments are heading” thing.
if you’re a freelancer or business owner already accepting bch, i’d genuinely want to hear how that’s worked for you. 🌱
