How to Mastodon:

1. Post things. Whatever you want. Hashtags can help, but they are entirely up to you.

2. Like what you enjoyed, made you smile, made you cry, or just that you want to acknowledge to the original poster that they were seen.

3. Boost things you love that you think your followers would also enjoy seeing.

4. Mute folks, phrases, hashtags, etc. that you don't want to see.

5. Block problematic accounts (or whole instances) that you don't ever want to see and that you don't want to see you.

6. Ignore trolls. (See also mute and block features.)

7. Post all your pet pics (with alt text!).
