Baffled Bacon (npub1wcf…equk) I think a lot of the us issue was the mass closure of mental institutions and the relaxation of 5150 policies. While maybe forcefully putting addicts and crazy people in institutions is a questionable policy, it does tend to cut down on homelessness and “help” many of the people “integrate” with society. Also housing cost in the us is absolutely insane.
