You know when I was a kid (yes, not even in this century - jeez, no need to rub it in !) We had that.
It was called the bibliobus, and it was a touring library going around the villages which didn't have a public library. I was waiting eargerly for the wednesday to get my weekly 3 books (not allowed more). It was a killer !
