This article is a good example of press manipulation and also demonstrates how slowflakey people have become.
They show this graph as a way to make the point that outside of Covid, the number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or longer is really high. What they hide is that after the crash in late 2008 this number peaked at 6.8 million which is the current count PLUS the covid peak.
