I dunno what it was, but at one point I just sat on a bench and looked at it for a good ten minutes.
I guess it's knowing that a group of people - almost all volunteers - went to so much effort to find and recover her. And for what?
Because it was important to them.
And now this beautiful building has been put up around her, and they've spent 40 years washing out the salt water, then drying her out. She was finally considered to be safely dry in 2017.
Just remarkable.
