I'm sure I'm an idiot for bothering to point out the obvious but capitalism isn't the issue. It's greedy people at the top of a constructed hierarchy.

This hierarchy can and does exist in every previous economic system.

It's the assholes using a corruptible system but given every other system that's been tried at scale it's clear the assholes are the problem more than the system.

If we yeet the system and keep the assholes we'll be no better off.
