Your job is to think about these rules and understand the logic and follow if you see them suitable and aligned with Quran.
Shia claims that Mohammed shouldn't be the prophet and that the messenger of God made a mistake but Gos let it slip and now we have a whole religion that is a mistake. Now, Do you think that God make mistakes? If not, them shia are just not Muslim.
Other thing about them, they harm themselves in order to seek forgiveness from God saying that this act in some way should make God forgive them. In Islam, harming one's body is not allowed and it's a sin. How can you ask forgiveness by committing a sin?
One last thing, shia never existed at the time of prophet Muhammed. It's a thing that came to existence after Islam was established. And them they claimed to be the real Islam as the original one is a mistake. Again, do you view God as mistakeful?
Allah (God) Almighty is beyond error and no one shall ever say that he could make a mistake! saying this will invalidate one's Islam.
Anyway, this is a huge topic, it's not Israel Palestine situation. It's something that we learns for years and still unable to scratch it's surface.
If you want some good place to start, look for no one but the famous Ahmed Deedat on YouTube. He's the best I've ever heard for and the most knowledgeable one who speaks English.
