Heck yeah! After a ton of debugging I narrowed the problem down to some weird echo behaviour of my RS-485 adapter. Every response appeared to have my request prefixed to the start of it, which was causing the CRC failures I was seeing! A bit of fiddling with settings solved it.
Not massively happy with the cabling finish. Unfortunately I used external UTP cable which is very difficult to cable clip neatly.
Super happy it’s working though. Real-time 10 second resolution data!
