It's not totally surprising to see that the entire education environment, whether at home, at school, or later in life is individualistic and hierarchical when you remember that all of our society is forged by capitalism. Thinking and doing in groups is something that needs to be learned but is never taught by a system that explicitly doesn't want collective organization
