they're as aware as the rest of us that the touchpaper for global revolution is just waiting to be lit. and fascism has always sold itself to the rich as the means of crushing revolution (by, you know, crushing humanity). see the 1930s, when a similar set of global conditions had all manner of rich folk praising Hitler for his anti-communism activities.
that's also why fascism adopts the language and stylings of socialism when it faces the common man. "we see your problems! we understand your pain! but no, it's not the rich folks' fault, it's those evil <insert minorities here>, and if you give us the power we'll put an end to that once and for all!"
