This is the dumbest take I've read all year and it seems to hinge on the idea that getting people to accept racial differences wouldn't necessarily influence their politics.

The thing is it does, in the vast majority of cases. Breaking the "we're all the same" tabula rasa programming and recognizing that races have differences unlocks a _boatload_ of other understandings about the world that had been sealed away from you.

This isn't some trivial datapoint. It's the critical linchpin that holds up an entire framework.
