Macedonia is Tito’s psyop. My great grandfather came from there more than 100 years ago. They used to call themselves Bulgarians back then who happened to live in parts of the Macedonia region. The term Macedonian (as in the nation and the language) was invented about 80 years ago to prevent the eventual unification of the two Bulgarian states by assimilation and brainwashing of the smaller one. I’d say it was successful bc today’s “Macedonians” (mostly the older generation) hates Bulgarians because we’re trying to “steal their history” lol. 😂
