"Web 2.0", the curse of the modern age, or whatever age this is, can be largely credited to #Netscape and Marc Andreessen and his co-conspirators, who figured that the easy way to make yourself popular in the high-pressure and very new #Internet market of the early 1990s was to put out a web browser full of weird new gadgets and gizmos and little programmatic tricks for doing things chiefly of use to criminals. Yeah it's another #crypto sort of thing: all tech scams boil down to the same few patterns.
