Have you tried #CrossOverLinux or #playonlinux to get windows apps running on Linux? Works for me in some cases.
For the very few native windows apps like the current #msoffice2021 I set up a widows os with #virtualbox running like charme and with nearly no performance reductions on my #ubuntu desktops.
I can recommend this configuration. Especially because current apps are more and more browser based and browser compatibility is 100% on Linux.
