Just chiming in here to give some perspective:

Survival of the fittest is an oft misconstrued biological term.

Your fitness is not strength or power, etc. Instead it's your ability to reproduce, and for your reproduction to reproduce itself (fecundity).

In life, it is sometimes the strongest that convey this ability best, but that's not always the case.

On a species level, the ability to reproduce (and grow that reproduction to the point of reproducing) is closer related to adaptability.

If a disaster takes out a portion of your population, the species' ability to continue reproducing is paramount.

Your strength cannot save you from the tidal wave. Etc, etc.

Using the term 'survival of the fittest' to justify nation-level expansion or warfare is weak. It doesn't fit. The term was never meant to imply this shit.

Thank You For Your Attention To This Matter!
