For sure. We expect medical people to do medical things, like proactively keep on top of the research and data and behavioral recommendations.
They, on the other hand, require others to put that info in front of their faces, else they claim "I didn't see it, so it must not exist."
It's kind of like when doctors used to smoke in their offices. You can't convince me they didn't wake up coughing up a lung, but because they personally didn't see any warnings that cigarettes cause cancer and other health issues, it must not exist.
