Kind of wild when you think about it: we’re not really standalone organisms.
A lot of basic stuff in our body only works because there are other organisms living inside us. Digestion, parts of the immune system, ans even certain metabolites depend on them.
So it’s less one organism and more like a small ecosystem that happens to think it’s an individual.
