We are used to saying things like "less choice is natural as ecosystems mature" because we're immersed in a capitalistic hellscapes where a few winners drive all the loosers out of business.
Biological ecosystems don't ACTUALLY loose diversity naturally overtime, unless they have an extinction level event thrust upon them. (Like humans).
Evolution isn't about unifying all species into a single winning organism. Progress isnt and shouldnt look like a straight line.
