It's amazing to me how Paul Graham writes page after page of this stuff without once engaging with the substantial past writing on the subjects he's covering. He reads like a ranting, resentful teenage boy rebuffed by a love interest, incapable of rational thought or empathy. I have a hard time understanding why anyone would take him seriously.
