I see lots of people here trying to sell their photography through a certain company, so I checked that particular website out to see what the terms are. Not that I think I would actually find many buyers for my work but it wouldn’t hurt to make a few bucks to defray hobby costs, would it?

Turns out this particular site, while convenient, not only takes their cut of the proceeds (fair) but also gains full control (as in copyright, ability to use, derive, and license) over anything you upload.

Yeah. No thanks.

I’m happy to share reduced resolution (typically 2MP) versions of anything I post here with whoever is interested in looking at it but lines have to be drawn sometimes.
